When you want to use Vista as non admin user. It's not wise to user application inside Program Files folder.

On Vista because of UAC and virtualization of Program Files folder. Program Files folder is different for admin for all non admin users.

For example, if an application attempts to write to C:\program files\appname\somefile.txt and the user doesn't have permissions to write to that folder, the write will get redirected to C:\Usersusername\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\appname folder.

Maybe changing folder Program Files folder is best idea.

If this is not accepted. I can only suggest workaround that maybe wiil work. I found it here:
