Hi,

The COMMONNAME of a CERT, is that what is refered to as being the FRIENDLYNAME in IE or is that the CN part of the SUBJECT of a cert?

It's the CN part in the Subject field, as well as Issued To: .

So you're saying that the CN and the Issued to: are the same?

Also if I want to access the SUBJECT as defined/seen in IE what propertie should I then use?

Yes.

I assume you mean the E, CN, O, S, L, C?

Those are E = E-mail, CN = CommonName, O = Organization, S = State, L = Location and C = Country properties.
