Adjusting Rows/Columns (wodSSH / wodSSH.NET)

by fox, Tuesday, May 02, 2006, 13:01 (6780 days ago)

I have a question...

As far as I can see, currently there are no properties/methods to change Rows and Columns (on server) once the connection established.

Is there any escape-sequences or something to do it manually?

I have a common problem - user changes the size of the window but the server doesn't know anything about it. Remote programs send strings formatted for the previous size of terminal and sometimes it looks very-very bad.

It should be applicable to vt100 emulation and it looks like the solution exists because the PuTTY can do this but I don't catch how.
(it places Outgoing packet type 93 / 0x5d (SSH2_MSG_CHANNEL_WINDOW_ADJUST) string in the log)

Fox,

I agree with you. Can you please send email to techsupport@weonlydo.com and we'll put this on our 'todo' list and implement in next few days. This sounds like a good idea.

Done. Now wodTelnetDLX will do that. Please download newest version (or request update if you're licensed user).

I update the component, but...

...I forgot to mention that I use COM version and hand-maded terminal window (because the ActiveX terminal cannot do several things I need), so I am interested in this feature in the COM version.

so... can I hope you implement the same thing in the COM?

Fox,

done, now changing Rows/Columns while connected will inform the server about it even in COM version.

Please download wodTelnetDLX again, or request update if you're licensed user.
