If I would set the proxyhostname and the proxyport and then set the proxytype = proxywindows, will it then ignore the proxyhostname/proxyport?
Correct, it will ignore your settings in ProxyHostname/ProxyPort, it will change ProxyType internally, and will use ProxyLogin/ProxyPassword.
Does setting proxytype=proxywindows mean that you will be using the service of the wininet.dll for the real request or just to get the hostname/port?
Just to get hostname/port, we don't switch to wininet at any time.
And do you look at the execptions set in IE? From what I could see you're not looking at the exceptions.
No, we don't look at exceptions at this time. If we see it as neccessary, we may add support for exceptions too.
