Getting Started in Delphi
Working with the COM object
In order to insert the wodSFTP COM object into your project, follow these steps:- Install the component on your system by starting its setup program.
- In the Borland Delphi Compiler IDE, create a project or open an existing one.
- Click on 'Project', then on the 'Import Type Library' menu.
- Find 'WeOnlyDo! COM SFTP Client Component' and click on the 'Install' button.
- You will be prompted to create and build a package for wodSFTP, answer with Yes.
- You should see an icon in the Component Palette on the ActiveX Component's tab representing the wodSFTP control.
- You can drag & drop wodSFTP's icon onto your form.
- Do not forget to distribute wodSFTP.DLL when using the COM object!
Working with the ActiveX control
In order to insert the wodSFTP ActiveX control into your project, follow these steps:- Install the component on your system by starting its setup program.
- In the Borland Delphi Compiler IDE, create a new project or open an existing one.
- Click on 'Components', then on the 'Import ActiveX Control' menu.
- Find the 'WeOnlyDo! COM SFTP Client ActiveX Control' and select it, then click on the 'Install' button.

- You should see an icon in the Component Palette on the ActiveX Component's tab representing the wodSFTP control.
